Program Officers

All tournament proceedings are refereed by official culturecapital Program Officers. They have your back. If you are ever confused as to what to do or there is a dispute between Players, you can simply raise your hand and cry, “Program Officer!” And someone will be able to help you.

Structure

In the Round Robin phase, Players play a minimum of TWO MATCHES (approx. 2hrs) and submit their points at the end of each match to the Program Officers. The Program Officers feed the scores into the Leaderboard.

Players can play more than 2 matches, but they must delete a previous score before replacing it with a new one.

At the end of the Round Robin on February 12th, we will select the Players with the top scores on the Leaderboard to move into the second round and play on February 13th.

Semi-Finals + Finals

All culturecapital finals are played in a spectacle showdown-style event between the semi-finalists and finalists. Big sound. Flashy lights. And the winner gets $500.

Also, because we think it’s awesome, the games are played on tables made of flatscreen-TVs.

DECK BUILDING

If you have acquired multiple Decks of culturecapital, or actively traded some of your cards with friends, you might be tempted to create an awesome Deck with the most fundable Companies, most valuable Projects, and most dramatic Strategies. This is great. However, to ensure fairness amongst all players, we are implementing the following restrictions for during tournament play:

Each Deck must 10 Grants and 60 playing cards. In those 60, it may have no more than:

  • 11 Companies

  • 20 Projects

  • 30 Strategies

You are only allowed one Yellow +10 and one Yellow -10.

You are only allowed one Epic card per Deck, the Orange Strategy cards with the interrobang.
